The next Canadian Association of Literary Festivals annual conference will be held in person in Ottawa, from November 20–22, 2025, with sessions taking place at the Library and Archives Canada and accommodations at the Delta Ottawa. Please click the below button to register.




CONFERENCE FEE
The conference fee is $100, and is included in your CALF membership. (If an additional representative of your festival wishes to attend the conference, they will need to pay the conference fee and any accommodation/travel expenses.)


CALF TRAVEL SUBSIDY
Iin an effort to help ensure as many members as possible are able to attend the conference, we will be offering a CALF Travel Subsidy for eligible members who applied but were declined for travel funding (from Canada Council and/or Access Copyright Foundation).

Criteria: To be eligible for the CALF Travel Subsidy, you must have applied for (and show proof of having been declined for) travel funding, and you must be an approved CALF member with dues paid by the end of July 2025.

Eligible Expenses: Upon application for the CALF Travel Subsidy, you can submit receipts for up to three nights of accommodations at the Delta Ottawa, flights, ticketed ground transportation and/or mileage for ONE representative of your organization. Meals, per dia and other expenses will not be eligible.

Subsidy Amount: Eligible festivals may claim expenses for reimbursement for the total amount you have paid in membership dues for years 2023, 2024, and 2025, up to a maximum reimbursement amount of $1,200. e.g. A festival that paid full dues of $500 all three years will be eligible for reimbursement up to $1,200 and a festival that joined in 2024 and received an approved fee reduction to $250 for 2024 and 2025 will be eligible for reimbursement up to $500.
